Sodium Acetate has a greater freezing point depression than urea and will operate effectively at lower temperatures. For optimum efficiency, pre-wet with Sodium Acetate.
Application Rates
The following table lists application guidelines for a variety of weather conditions and temperatures, and may vary according to airport location. In the event of freezing rain, preventive treatment is recommended to avoid accumulation and sticking of frozen precipitation. Since product is both an anti-icing and deicing agent, timely application is essential. Heavy storm events may require repeat applications.
